This animal (possibly juvenile Aplysia parvula) was found on a 5cm piece of pumice, driven ashore through the surf, during onshore winds. It was able to maintain a firm grip and was anchored with a strong mucul thread. It can be seen on the left side of the image below, also evident are small growths of algae (food source) Also on this pumice were Barnacles, Bryozoans, Worms and a pair of shelled gastropods (Recluzia sp?)
